Moscow High School
Every year high school students from Moscow use the park's facilities and contribute significantly to its ongoing improvement.
Environmental Club
In recent years, Environmental Club students have worked on the wetland restoration project, planted trees, removed invasive plants, built beaver analog dams, maintained trails, cleared brush, repaired fences, pruned trees, created brochures, and pressed cider. Internships, 2021
Thanks to a grant from the Moscow Giving Circle, Environmental Club students carried out several paid internships in the summer of 2021:
Under the tutelage of Susan Firor (Restoration Engineer for Alta Science and Engineering), twenty Environmental Club volunteers spent a day in May learning to be beavers! They constructed 10 Beaver Dam Analogs, which will help slow the flow of water through the lower wetlands at Phillips Farm, and eventually provide habitat for native amphibians and birds. |
